A group of plucky, happy-go-lucky teenagers are saved from a Jet Ski accident by a local new reporter; they then all proceed to have premonitions of their futures, in these visions, their dreams haven’t come true, they have settled with someone they don’t like, have 12 kids and enter them all into beauty pageants, and life seems crap and pointless. After realising they should have died in the accident and not looking forward to the prospect of an unhappy life, they decide to enter into a suicide pack. But fate now has a different idea and decides to keep them alive. Whenever they decide to kill themselves a Rube Goldberg style device will save them by, cutting the rope on the noose, swapping the pills for tic tacs etc. Until the end when the realise that this all inevitable, the film ends with found footage of all the characters with their children on Toddlers and Tiaras.
