My love for cinema can be traced back to two films, Back To the future and Shaun of the dead. I have already talked about my love of BTTF; But Shaun also holds a place in my heart. It was a film that opened my eyes to so much in the world of cinema. When I became obsessed with it, I scoured every commentary and special feature for the references imbedded in that film. Because of Shaun I discovered George A. Romero, Evil Dead Two and An American Werewolf in London. As well as being, charming and funny and touching and scary, Shaun of the Dead exposed me to so many films, that have become firm favourites.
Then came Hot Fuzz, it’s a step up in budget and action but it has all the British-ness and charismatic humour of its predecessor . Hot fuzz is the 2nd in a joke about “Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy”
This Trilogy is Finally becoming a reality. The Worlds End is expected to hit cinemas in spring next year. Deadline.com had the exclusive plot details.

They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
This makes me so happy, both Pegg and Wright (director) are true heroes to me (this very blog is named after one of Wrights films) and this news has made me stupidly happy. How’s that for a slice of fried gold!
